St. Sebastian School Mission & Academic Philosophy

Our school mission is the Catholic education of children in grades K4 through 8 in a five-day primary and middle school setting.

Our school philosophy is to share the responsibility of educating children through a Catholic, Christ-centered focus on spiritual and academic development. We believe that the family is the primary educator of its children and demonstrates a fundamental model for living.

As a parish school, we build our program on the foundation of Christian faith. We strive for both a high level of academic achievement and growth in the student’s personal relationship with and faith in God.

As a team, parents and families, school staff, and our students can accomplish great things during the school year. The home and school must work together to provide consistency, growth opportunities and a solid value system needed for success in today’s world.

Fully-accredited, St. Sebastian School includes the fundamentals of reading, mathematics, social studies, science and language arts. The school has a full program in religious instruction, including doctrines of the Catholic Church, participation in prayer and liturgies, and sacramental preparation. Each year the goals and content of the educational program are reviewed by the faculty, parent representatives, and principal.
